Sveta Nedelja Island Petrovac

According to many, Petrovac is the most beautiful place on the Budva Riviera, with 300 sunny days a year. The crystal-clear sea has shaped a gentle coastline with two sandy coves – the city beach and Lučica beach, along with a number of "wild" beaches, all overlooking two islands, Katič and Sveti Neđelja.
Sveta Nedjelja is a small church island located near the coast of the town of Petrovac in Montenegro. This picturesque islet, with a church on top, is a popular tourist attraction and a symbol of Petrovac. According to local legend, the church was built by sailors who survived a shipwreck, as a token of gratitude to God for their survival.
Sveta Nedjelja can be reached by boat, and the church and island offer a stunning view of the Adriatic Sea and the surrounding area. The island, together with the nearby island of Katič, forms a recognizable landscape of Petrovac.
The total area of the "Katič" Nature Park is 2,744.93 ha, and it is managed by the Public Enterprise for the Management of Marine Assets of Montenegro. The island of Katič is located across from Petrovac. This small rock is rich in vegetation and is a frequent stop for birds, which also nest here.
There is also a lighthouse on the island, guiding sailors on their way.
Sveta Nedjelja is often visited for its spiritual and historical significance, as well as for its natural beauty.
